Resort Information
The Resort of Val d'Isere is situated at an altitude of 1850m in the Tarentaise valley. Outlined by the border of the Vanoise National Park and only 5km from Italy. It forms part of the Espace Killy Ski area, which has an impressive 97 lifts operating throughout the winter.
Tignes is made up of 5 villages Le Lac, Le lavachet, Val Claret, Les Boisses and Les Brevieres. The first 3 are situated at 2100m, whilst the 2 others are lower down the valley. Tignes and Val d'Isere form the Espace Killy, which offers 300+ km of marked piste.
The resort of Val d'Isere has something to offer all levels of snowboarders, from the free beginner slopes, wide, open, gentle runs sectioned off for beginners only, vast intermediate, advanced and expert runs. A snowpark with all level of different features and endless backcountry to explore. Due to Tignes high altitude, it offers fantastic snow conditions throughout the winter. With an easily accessible glacier (Grande Motte 3456m), Tignes also offers summer snowboarding for several months and a snow shore winter season. Tignes is best known for its incredible backcountry snowboarding and it's well maintained endless marked runs. Tignes also has a great snowpark, split into 3 sections with a fantastic beginner section and a great progression.
